Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Bumthang, Mongar , Trashi Yangtse &Trashigang
Day 1- Paro
Arrive in paro and you will be greeted by our representative. Check in the hotel, then go sightseeing around paro valley including the Dzong of Paro and the National museum to get the insight of Bhutanese culture and tradition.
Towards evening visit the oldest temple Kyichu Lhakhang, and then stroll around the small authentic town of Paro.
Overnight – Ravens nest.
Day 2- Paro- Taktshang hike.
After an early breakfast drive towards the base of Tigers nest. The hike to Tigers nest takes around 5 hrs round trip. Many beautiful spots to stop for photography. Taktshang /Tigers nest is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrim site in the world.
Lunch on the way back at the cafeteria. Towards evening drive towards north of Paro valley to visit Drukgyel Dzong the fortress in ruin which is now being renovated. If the weather permits from there you will be able to see one of the second highest peak in Bhutan Mount Jumolhari at 7317 m.
Evening to the hotel and relax.

Day 3- Paro to Thimphu
After a relaxing morning Drive to Thimphu the capital city. On the way stop at Tachog Gompa to visit an interesting iron chain bridge from 15th century.
Lunch in Thimphu. After lunch visit the following places, the Buddha Dordenma statue, memorial stupa, Takin preserve center and Nunnery Dupthob monastery.
Evening strolls around Thimphu city.
Overnight – Namgay heritage.
Day 4- Thimphu
Morning drive to sangaygang to do a hike to Choekortshe monastery and from there, hike towards wangditse monastery offering a great view of Thimphu and complete our hike at Dechenphodrang monastery.
Lunch in town and after lunch visit the textile museum to see the patterns of Bhutanese textile and the school of thirteen arts and crafts.
Overnight – Namgay heritage.
Day 5- Thimphu to Wangdiphodrang via Punakha
Todays drive to Punakha takes you over Dochula pass at 3150 m. On a clear day offering panoramic view of the eastern Himalayan ranges.
On arrival at Punakha take a small hike to visit Chimi Lhakhang and after that stop for lunch. After lunch visit the most impressive and beautiful Dzong in Bhutan the Punakha Dzong situated at the confluence of male and female river.
Towards evening hike to visit the temple or stupa of Khamsum yuelley namgyel and drive to wangdi phodrang for the night.
Overnight – wangdue eco lodge.
Day 6- Punakha to Phobjikha
The drive from Punakha to Phobjikha takes around 2 hr 3min, so after a relaxing breakfast at eco lodge visit the villages around and drive towards Phobjikha with a stop at Nobding village for lunch.
Phobjikha is a beautiful valley with its mountains and surrounding areas filled with small villages and also it’s an area where the rare gaint bird call Black Necked Crane makes their home during the winter
After lunch drive over Lawala pass at 3200 m. And descend towards the valley of Phobjikha. Stop at Gangtey to visit the monastery of Gangtey Gompa. And from there take a nature hike for 2hrs till the hotel with a visit to some farm houses and a small old temple in the floor of the valley call Khewang temple.
Overnight – Dewachen
Day 7- Phobjikha to Bumthang via Trongsa
Drive from Phobjikha to Trongsa takes to through some pristine and protected nature in the country. And crosses over pelela pass at 3300 m. On the way stop at various places to make a photograph. Visit Chendebji chorten a Nepalese style Stupa.
Lunch in Trongsa and after lunch visit the Dzong of Trongsa and after the visit drive over Yotongla pass at 3400 m on a clear day it gives a panoramic view of the Black Mountain Ranges.
Evening arrive Bumthang and visit the small town there.
Overnight – valley/village resort.
Day 8- Bumthang
Today the day is fully reserved to discover the valley of Bumthang with a visit to some important old temples and monasteries dating back to 7th and 8th century. After breakfast drive to Jampay Lhakhang and from there till lunch we will hike around the valley visiting the monastery of kurje, Tamshing and Kenchosum Lhakhang.
Lunch in a farm house with a family to taste the delicacy of Bumthang. As Bumthang is very well known for its food in the country.
Toward evening stroll around the town of Bumthang.
Overnight – valley/village resort.
Day 9-Bumthang to Lhuentshe
Today it's going be a day driving from Bumthang to Lhuentshe crossing over many beautiful villages and also the highest pass on the Bhutanese highway the Thrumsingla pass at 3800 m. On a clear day you will get a spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks.
Stop at Ura village to make a visit there. Lunch will be at sengor village with a visit to the village. Sengor village is a paradise for the bird lovers, many birds have been discovered in that area. Evening arrive to Autsho village for the night halt, if got time will visit Namdroling Gompa.
Overnight – Phayuel Guest house.
Day 10- lhuentshe
Breakfast and then drive to Takila pass where you will get to see the huge statue of Guru Rinpoche, gives good opportunity for photography and from there on the way to Khoma stop at Tangmachhu village to make a visit there.
Arrive at Khoma village by lunch. Lunch in farm house. Khoma village is a very famous village in Bhutan for the excellent weavers. After lunch, we will spend sometime with the weavers and try to learn and know their pattern of life in weaving.
Late afternoon visit the Dzong of Lhuentshe beautifully perched on a hillock with a small town there. Evening return towards Authso village for the night.
Overnight- Phayul Guest house.
Day 11: Autsho to Kurtoe Dungkar
The drive from Autsho village to Dungkar will take around 2hrs 30 min with lots of visits on the way. It’s a very scenic drive with a lot of beautiful hamlets nestled in the mountains and deep forest. Kurtoe Dungkar is the village from where the monarchs of Bhutan hails. On our way stop at Zhamling village and also visit the village of Khawchung family with a unique temple there.
Picnic lunch near the palace(Dungkar Ngagtshang) of the Dungkar Wangchuck dynasty and after lunch visit the unique and special Palace of the Wangchuck Dynasty.
After the visit drive back and stop at Tabi village for a visit and after that drive for another 15 min to reach Jatshabi village for the night halt. In the evening hike for 40 min through the beautiful forest to visit a small temple and a cave of Pema lingpa from the peling tradition call Khamphu Ney means the secret cave of Pemalingpa.

Day 12: lhuentshe to Trashiyangtshe
Morning drive to Trashiyangtshe. Stop at Mongar to visit the small town there and the Dzong of Mongar. Drive over Korila pass at 2300 m. It’s a very scenic drive with lots of opportunity for photography.
Visit Gomphu kora temple on the way and on arrival at Trashi yangtshe visit the stupa call Chorten Kora.

Overnight – Hotel Karmaling.
Day 13: Trashiyangtshe to Trashigang
Early morning depart towards Trashigang and then in the valley of Trashigang we will visit the following places.
Today will be an interesting day as we will be taking you to some remote and authentic villages in and around Trashigang with some village hikes. Morning for an hour we will drive uphill to visit a beautiful village call Bartsham where the rural and traditional life are still alive. There we will visit a very special temple call Chagdor temple very unique one. And also we will visit some farm houses there to taste the hospitality of the villagers. After that drive for another 20 min to Bidung village and from there we will hike down hill for an hour crossing over some small villages and Gamri river to reach Rangjung. There we will visit one monastery call Ranjung woesel choling. Farm house lunch in Ranjung.
After lunch drive back to Trashigang, visit the small town there and towards evening drive to Rangshikhar village and their visit a Garden where there is the representation of the Twelve deeds of Buddha, on a clear day it gives a panoramic view of some Himalayan ranges.
Overnight – Druk Doetjung resort.
Day 14- Trashigang to samdrupjongkhar
Todays drive will take around 6hrs to reach Samdrupjongkhar covering 180 km. On the way we stop at Narphung Village to see a small market set up by the villagers to sell their local products. Specially on this route if we are lucky we will be greeted by some rare big birds like the’’ Great Hornbill and Rufous Necked Hornbill’’
Lunch in the small town of Wamrong, and we will stop at Khaling to visit the weaving center.
Evening arrive in samdrupjongkhar and visit the small border town there.
Day 15- departure
